sound design

My formal interest in sound design emerged during the earliest stages of the 2020 COVID-19 quarantine. At the time, DePaul had entirely transitioned to virtual theater, including a festival of radio-plays written by students. The need for directors was low, but everyone needed a sound designer. I had some experience with audio editing and music compostion, so I volunteered.

Since then, I have learned a ton about audio as a medium of storytelling, sometimes through classes, but mostly from experimentation and practice. As a composer, some of my biggest inspirations are hip-hop producers such as Madlib, J.Dilla, and Nujabes; all of whom brilliantly incorporate samples into their work.

Most of my work can be found on my bancamp (also embedded below). Some of my favorite shows that I worked on include Launch Day, and Witch Way
